0.1 OUR STORY

The Wadsworth Homestead has been a private home to six generations of the Wadsworth family and has played an integral role in American History. During the estate’s 212 year history, there have been many celebrations and famous visitors. In 2011 the family decided to open the property to the public for weddings and events. The house and grounds can accommodate up to 300 people in the spring, summer, and fall and up to 125 in winter.

The Wadsworth Homestead retains most of its original furnishings, art, and ephemera which makes this venue unique. This setting creates an atmosphere of casual elegance as a backdrop to your event. You will be invited to relax in this formal setting and be encouraged to feel at home. Our goal is to assure that your event becomes a magical part of your own family history.

Set at the end of Geneseo's Main Street on 300 pastoral acres, the Homestead is an important part of the Geneseo community. Partnerships are key to our success; we welcome community involvement and heartily thank the volunteers who have stepped forward to continue this legacy.
